Our most recent endeavor is the launch of Baby Jazz, a CD for kids, toddlers, and infants. This unique album combines classic nursery rhymes with modern jazz to sooth, relax, and calm children (and parents) during playtime and/or sleep time.
As a doctorial student at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, I have had the opportunity to study various forms of jazz. It is through my prior experience where Baby Jazz was created. After researching numerous children’s albums I concluded two things: First- jazz is becoming obsolete (especially for kids) Second- it is hard to find a CD that entertains both children AND adults. Baby Jazz combines these two worlds by integrating jazz into classic nursery rhymes. By researching Early Childhood Education, Music Psychology and Jazz, I feel that Baby Jazz has a new, fresh sound that aides in the developmental progress of children.
